Alex Hokanson

Alex is a senior member of the Investment Group and is a member of the firm’s Internal Investment Committee bringing over 15 years of experience in the investment management industry in asset allocation, investment manager due diligence, risk management and solution design. Alex has worked across the landscape of traditional and impact investment strategies and has spent the last five years providing advice to foundations on their transition to impact investing.
Alex joined Tiedemann when the firm acquired Threshold Group, where he spent five years focusing on investment manager research, asset allocation and risk management. Prior to joining Threshold, Alex spent ten years at SEI Investments in a variety of roles, most recently directing investment research and due diligence with the Alternative Investments team. At SEI, he helped develop quantitative risk management processes and hedge fund allocation methodologies. In a previous role, Alex was a derivatives trader and analyst on SEI’s portfolio implementation team.

Alex earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Villanova University and a Master of Science degree in financial engineering from Temple University. Born and raised in Connecticut, Alex resides in Mount Laurel, New Jersey with his wife and daughter.
