Craig is a Founding Partner and President of Tiedemann Advisors overseeing the firm’s strategic direction as well as the advisor team and the firm’s client experience. He is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.
Craig joined the firm in 2000, and served as Managing Director, Trust Planning and Administration, until his appointment as President in 2004. Prior to joining Tiedemann, Craig was Vice President of J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc., leading the trust, estate and transfer tax planning services for New England private clients. Craig’s other roles at J.P. Morgan included Fiduciary Manager and founding member of J.P. Morgan’s Strategic Asset Allocation group. Before joining the firm in 1992, Craig practiced trust and estate law with the New York law firm, Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler.
Throughout his career, Craig has been a frequent lecturer and author on tax and estate planning subjects, as well as related investment topics.
Craig earned a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from New York University. Born and raised in New York, Craig currently resides in New York City.
