Kevin Robnett

Kevin joined Tiedemann in January of 2021 as a member of the business development and client advisory teams. Kevin is responsible for developing and managing client relationships and working with clients’ advisors. He brings an extensive and diverse background to our firm as a former naval intelligence and operations officer, entrepreneur and legal counsel. Kevin is well versed in investments, business, energy, technology, and international relations.
Prior to joining Tiedemann, Kevin was Vice President of Limestone Capital Advisors LLC, a private equity firm that evaluated and executed investment opportunities for international investors. Between 2009 and 2012, Kevin held the position of Deputy General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to Speaker Joe Straus of the Texas House of Representatives for two legislative sessions. Prior to that, Kevin was the special legal assistant to Gen. Clyde Tate during the Abu Ghraib prosecution trials and worked with the Iraq Investment and Reconstruction Task Force. He began his professional career as an analyst, asset manager, and counsel for an independent investor in energy, real estate, and water transactions.
Kevin is a U.S. Navy veteran who served for over 10 years as an intelligence and operations officer. He has deployed to multiple combat zones including Afghanistan and in Africa and holds the highest-level security clearance. Kevin was also a regional Navy lead for a Department of Defense project known as the Defense Innovation Unit designed to bridge military defense needs with private innovation.
Kevin is also the Founder of a software company focused on the oil and gas industry and is a Co-Founder and former Managing Editor of the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law.

Kevin earned both his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Kevin currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife and three children.
