Robnett brings 15 years of experience in the private equity, energy, technology and national security sectors to the firm.

DALLAS, February 1, 2021 – Tiedemann Advisors, one of the largest independent U.S. investment and wealth advisors for ultra-high-net-worth families, trusts, foundations and endowments, announced today that Kevin Robnett joined the firm as a Senior Vice President in the Dallas office. A licensed attorney and former Naval Officer, Robnett offers Tiedemann clients and advisors a sophisticated perspective on the global confluence of law, policy, and business.

Robnett’s experience spans across several sectors, including private equity, technology, government and energy. Most recently, Robnett developed and was CEO of an investment solution software for oil and gas asset management called InGauge. Prior to founding the software company, he sourced U.S. energy deals for the Asian market as Vice President at Limestone Capital Advisors LLC, a private equity firm in Austin, Texas. Robnett also spent time working in Texas politics, where he managed key state policy decisions as Deputy General Counsel and Senior Policy Advisor to Speaker Joe Straus of the Texas House of Representatives.

“We are pleased to have Kevin join our team in Texas and with his diverse background and experience will be a valuable addition for our clients and team,” said Colin Carter, Managing Director and Head of Tiedemann Advisors’ Dallas operation. “Texas is experiencing unprecedented growth, and the need for trusted, high-touch wealth planning and investment oversight has never been greater.”

“We look forward to the value-add Kevin will bring in helping us deliver sophisticated, customized and impactful investment solutions that our clients deserve,” added Michael Tiedemann, CEO of Tiedemann Advisors.

In addition to his corporate work, Robnett served as an Intelligence and Operations Officer for over 10 years for Naval Special Warfare and the U.S. Special Operations Command for Africa deploying to multiple combat zones. He continues this effort as a civilian by acting as the Chairman of the Board of the Washington D.C.-based National Security Technology Accelerator.

“I am both grateful and delighted by the opportunity to join a firm of such high caliber professionals,” said Robnett. “As a tenth-generation Texan, I deeply understand the importance of stewardship and legacy planning, and I look forward to working closely with clients to achieve their goals to that end by utilizing Tiedemann’s unique solutions and resources.”

Robnett received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Texas at Austin where he remains active in the University of Texas System Chancellor’s and Centurion Councils. In addition to being an inaugural fellow of the NexGen Project at the Straus Center of International Security and Law, he is also a founding member of both the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation’s Stewards of the Wild and Renaissance 21, a non-profit focused on improving U.S.-China relations.
